We were delighted to make the cover of Skerries News this month, under the headline “Brand new chapter at St Brendan’s NS”.
This year marks a fresh start for our school. Kathy Lundy is now our principal, bringing 24 years at St Brendan’s to the role, eight of them as deputy principal.
The article tours our new outdoor classroom, funded by a Dublin Airport Authority community grant, with its picnic tables, sensory path and nature pond, where a frog named Spot has already moved in. It also looks ahead to our plans for a purpose-built ASD classroom and welcomes our 11 new Junior Infants.
It is a fresh start for the school and for Loughshinny. Our open days run from 10 to 11am on 23 October, 4 November, 2 December, 11 January and 20 January and all are welcome.
