Thanks to a government grant, every classroom in the school has new tables and chairs this term, replacing furniture that had served the school for twenty years.
It is not the most glamorous item that will ever appear on this page, but anyone who has watched a child spend a day at furniture built for somebody a foot taller will know that it matters. The new tables suit the children using them, they move easily when a class shifts into groups and the rooms feel brighter for it.
The children approved immediately, which is the only review that counts.
