School walk!

What a day!!We were so lucky with the weather as we all took part in our annual school walk fundraiser. The children came all dressed in green and it created such a lovely atmosphere especially with St. Patrick’s Day coming up on Friday! We walked the four roads together and had a lovely picnic when we returned. Everyone was so well behaved! The children had been putting in a lot of extra effort to practice their gaeilge this week for ‘seachtain na gaeilge’ so we held a special assembly in the hall! Every class had a song or a poem to perform for the rest of the school but under the instruction of Mr. Keary the senior end of the school stole the show displaying their musical talents with some knockout instrumental performances and vocals. 6th class also put in such hard work preparing for their performance of ‘the circle of life’ as gaeilge of course! They did an amazing job! To finish off Mr. Mulvey led the entire school in performing the Irish version of ‘head, shoulders, knees and toes’ ! We all had so much fun!
