A busy new year in Fourth class!

We recently studied volcanoes and the Romans. We all got into group and did projects about the Romans and it was great fun. We had been learning about Pompeii and we started to get really interested in volcanoes and how they work.

We also did some cool art work with Ms. Brennan which was inspired by the artist Grant Wood. We hung them up on the wall outside our room!

A highlight for us this term so far as been doing a cliff walk with our teacher from Rush to our school in Loughshinny. We have been learning about fold mountains and our teacher wanted us to observe the folded carboniferous limestone formations between Rush and Loughshinny. It was really interesting and we learned a lot!
